A well known musician from Girona and long time responsible of the vocals and guitars in “Sàvats” decided to take a leap adopting his solo stage name XEBI SF after three albums with the band. Thus came “Duermevela” a lo-fi particular revision of the old Catalan author song recorded in a van and accompanied by a curious documentary entitled “Submergit or volant”.
This year mister Salvatella released the unexpected Satellite K “Tibidabo” that has come to light firmly stomping and trampling the independent folkloric music panorama, and has been praised by Nacho Vegas himself. XEBI SF has a lot in common with Vegas: the intimate atmosphere of his music, cutting critic in his lyrics and the warm of the arrangements worthy of a pop
goldsmith. Recorded in his dining room, the latest album confirms this young composer´s naturalness. Without a fuss a connection is established between his imaginary as a soloist and the creative wealth of musicians collaborating; Albert Dondarza (violin, piano and keyboards), Ruben Berengena (drums and percussion), Tom Hagan (bass), Enric Teruel (electric guitar).
Their contributions further out the scope of the songs and the live concerts with broad sonorities and surprising improvisations.
