Always Drinking Marching Band is a company formed by musicians, actors, technicians and bar poets and much more people that have been walking and animating the streets, squares and stages of Spain, the rest of Europe, Asia and America since 1997. Their name is to pay homage to the Mediterranean lifestyle of sharing life outdoors on the terraces eating tapas and sharing some beers and spirits with friends on both sides of the bar.
From 2010, thanks to the recognition of the public and critics alike, they have more presence in media (La Marató TV3, TV3 La Partida, L’Anima TV3, Els Matins de TV3) and trips through Europe: Hungary (Sziget ), Finland (Black and White Fest), Italy (Penabili Circus Clown Milano Fest), Portugal (Açores ’09, ’11 Villareal), Slovakia (Gagy), France (Fanf’Orion, Rocherfort, Orleans), Austria (Lienz ’12, ’13), Scotland (Edinburgh Jazz Fest ’13), Germany (Linz) and especially in England to Norfolk and Norwick Fest and three times in the Durham Brass Fest.
During these last years they have collaborated with stage directors Perillós Jordi, Jordi Purtí, and Jango Edwards and the actor Guilem Albà creating “Flirt” a play that tours around Spain been receiving several awards (Tàrrega ’10, Finalist Espectacle Revelació MAX ‘eleven).
By 2013 Always Drinking have their first intercontinental jump celebrating the Chinese New Year at Beijing with the show “bullangues”. In 2014 they take their new stage show “Brasstards” to Costa Rica (FIA Fest) and the new show of musical humor “Gagsters” to China (Macau). Also “The street is ours” first comes to Africa (Mawazine, Rabat).
They know that great energy is created by combining music and humor.
